Beginning with the development of Korea’s first nutritionally formulated products for patients with diabetes, cancer, hypertension, and inflammatory bowel disease, Daesang Wellife continues its research to make essential nutrition more accessible and convenient for people of all ages.

Chlorella

Developed Korea’s first chlorella cultivation method using proprietary technology.

Since the early 1990s, Daesang Wellife has conducted R&D on chlorella, demonstrating its immune-boosting effects and earning individual recognition as a health supplement ingredient. This led to the development of products such as Chlorella Platinum and Dr. Chlorella. Daesang Wellife’s chlorella is hygienically produced through sterile tank cultivation and has received ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, and GMP certifications.

L-Arginine

Korea’s First and Only L-Arginine Recognized for Its Functionality by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety*

L-arginine is an essential amino acid for growing children and needs to be supplied externally under certain health conditions. It is widely used in Health Supplements to support cardiovascular health, promote muscle growth and fat metabolism, and is also utilized for immune system support, amino acid supplementation, and hangover relief. Produced using a patented fermentation method, Daesang Wellife's L-arginine is the first and only product in Korea to be officially recognized for its functionality by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. It is also certified HALAL and KOSHER.

Plant-Based DHA

Korea’s First Plant-Based DHA Oil Developed Through Microalgae Cultivation

In 1992, Daesang Wellife developed Korea’s first plant-based DHA oil through microalgae cultivation and began full-scale production. By applying its accumulated microbial cultivation expertise—gained through culturing amino acids, chlorella, and more—the company developed a high-concentration DHA-producing strain and its cultivation method, which was patented. This innovation led the way in differentiating plant-based DHA in the omega-3 market through its plant-based origin, safety, and functionality.
